Recently, the Ministry of Education issued a file, which is called Notice of the Ministry of Education released in 2013 on the ordinary higher school undergraduate specialty filling or approval of the results ( high education [2014] No.1). The investment of our school is approved as the additional record specialty of ordinary high school in 2013. The specialty is set up in our college and the enrollment plan begins in 2014. The newly established investment is based on developing students’ ability to learn the basic theory of investment, professional knowledge and business skills systematically. It bases itself upon the country’s social and economic development requirements, focuses on broadening student’s political and economic vision and cultivating their ability of working practices and the scientific research of financial discipline. The specialty is devoted to building senior investment management qualified people, who have strong abilities of organization, decision, management and cooperation and are the type of application, compound of internationalization.
It is reported that, since we set up the investment specialty declaration leading group in early April, 2013, specific researches on banks, securities companies, fund management companies and other enterprises have been conducted. In May, 2013, leaders and executives of Huatai Securities, Guotai Junan Securities, Huaxia Securities, South Futures and those of real estate industry were invited to the conference, Feasibility Studies of establishing Investment Specialty, where basic information of this specialty and the preparation for the addition of it were fully discussed,as well as the quality of faculty and the training programs.The investment specialty is established to meet the current market needs for investment professionals, to help enhance the comprehensive quality of the financial talents in agricultural colleges and to strengthen the overall competit-veness of related disciplines.
